Lost in the FOG 2026

In 2026, your favourite Aussie Grenache celebration is back for two big days – Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 August – at Alkina in the Barossa Valley. Is there a more exciting red variety in Australia right now than Grenache?

There’s only one place to be if you want to taste the finest Grenache this country produces. Alkina’s pioneering Grenache Festival – Lost in the FoG – returns for its fifth year. Spanning two days, the event features wines from an even larger line-up of outstanding growers and makers, all wrapped in the cosy winter atmosphere that the Barossa does so well.

Held across Alkina’s beautiful gardens, courtyard and covered lawn, with a marquee on hand in case of bad weather, the festival offers a relaxed walkaround tasting, fire-cooked food and live music. You can buy wine by the glass or bottle to enjoy on the day, and place orders for home delivery. The event runs from 11am to 4pm on both Saturday and Sunday, with a different selection of wineries pouring each day.

Your ticket includes entry, all wine tastings, a Riedel glass to take home and a tasty lunch snack – our famous fire-cooked Choripan (vegetarian option available). Grab a ticket for your preferred day, or go all in on a Weekend Pass and experience both days.
